exciting Posted 07 September 2008 Yoga for kids is a great way for children to learn to control thier body and to stay focused. It is also a great tool for relaxing and claming down.
A must have for special needs famlies Posted 17 November 2006 I run social skills groups for children with developmental delays such as autism, ADHD, speech and language delays, sensory integration dysfunction etc. I have used this kit with children as young as 2.5 and as old as 9. They love it. The cards are great, very kid friendly, especially if you laminate them. The visuals are great and the children really relate to the animal posses. I have used the kit so much that it worn out. I can't tell you how many parents have asked where they can find the kit. I LOVE IT!
The kids LOVE this...... Posted 23 August 2006 My 5 year old daughter is in a Summer Camp and they just introduced this yoga kit to them a week ago and the kids (ages 4-6) absolutely LOVE it! They couldn't wait to pull out their yoga mats and show me how well they could do the poses. I was so amazed that these kids that had no idea what yoga was 2 weeks ago were so into such a relaxing and fun activity.
Great for even young children!! Posted 21 January 2006 I am the teacher of 15 2 1/2 to 3 year olds. On Wednesday afternoon, we put on a soothing sounds CD and do yoga in our large group area. The children LOVE it and look forward to it. When my co-teacher suggested it, I couldn't believe that it would keep the attention of 2-year-olds, but it does!!! They aren't all able to do all the positions, but they try. I hold up each card so they can see it, do the position myself, and when I think they are all doing the best they can, we all count to 10. It is a huge hit! I highly recommend it!
Kids Love It Posted 02 November 2005 I am a social worker and work with kids. Once this kit was given to a family with a young child age 7 with many behavioral difficulties. While he typically has difficulty following directions and sustaining interest - he LOVED this game and followed along a lot longer than I expected. His sister age 5 also loved it. I recently also put the kit in a toy box of mine and another 3 year old I work with pulled it out right a way and said "lets do this." The 3 year old loves it, is able to follow along, and also likes being the "teacher" and holding out the cards for her mommy and me to do the poses. The cards have a picture on each side and she was able to name each pose- mouse, table, peacock, etc on her own without any help reading (she was able to be teacher only after playing the game 2ce).
All and All - KIDS LOVE THIS GAME!!!!
I highly recommend it.
