Not that great Posted 29 March 2007 I had heard that this was a fun addition and in the same style as the Wii sports package. The reality of this mini-game system and i mean mini (the game play is very short on most of the features) is that this game pack lacked true potential. The games are not set up as interactive play (like the sports) you can sit and play these...and I purchased this last night and was not impressed in the least with the quality of the games
Some Replay with Wii Play Posted 29 March 2007 Wii Play is a mixed bag at best. The most entertaining games are Find Mii, Shooting Range and Tanks!. These three games have the most replay value and are quite fun when playing against other players. This weak lineup of games is made up for by the inclusion of the Wii Remote and the biggest selling point.
Not bad considering... Posted 28 March 2007 I'll be honest. I already had a second controller. I only really bought this for the shooting game, which is pretty much a 3 minute revision of the original Duck Hunt. After playing all the games, the shooting one is still my favorite. The last level is the best.
I also loved the Tank game. If you ever played "Combat" on the Atari, you'll appreciate this one too.
The other games are kind of weak. The Pool game is nothing more than a 3D version of Yahoo! Pool. The cow race is hilarious, but I imagine it's going to get old quick. Table tennis is nothing special... it's like Pong on steroids. There's a air hockey game called "Laser Hockey" or something. The Mii Match and Pose are okay for starters, but if you're not new to the system, you'll find it very annoying. Fishing was also really dumb... even for beginners.
The tank and duck huntesqe games make it worth while with the controller though. If you're buying the system for a parent or someone who hasn't played since the glory days of Nintendo, this is a great game to give with it.
perfect combo Posted 28 March 2007 The WiiPlay with Wiiremote is an ideal combination. The original system comes with one remote, and with the addition of wiiplay another remote is needed for most of the games. So to get both in one package was indeed the perfect combo. Hats off to the person who thought of offering these products in this way.
Wii Play Posted 27 March 2007 ok as far as the purchase goes this is the most bang for my buck that i have found. the remote alone justifies the purchase. considerint the cost of a single remote the game could be pin the tail on the donkey. but if your buying this for the game and the controller is not your main focus, don't get your hopes up. i was under the impression that the shooting game was a revitilized version of duck hunt..its not. the 9 games are good for a firrst game to ge tu used to the control styles of most other games for wii. i consider this game a stepping stone most games are very child friendly and they give u another medium to interact with your miis. the pool game is 9 ball and entertaining as is the "tanks" and even the cow racing is enjoyable.
like i said don't buy this game expecting much more then a controller and you will enjoy it , if your buying for content you making a mistake.
final opinion well worth the cost of the controller and the game is a bonus
