Fun, fun, fun! Posted 22 September 2007 not EVERYTHING has to be educational! Can't kids just have fun anymore without every toy trying to teach something? have ya'll forgotten how important imaginative play is? My kids LOVE this toy! It NEVER leaves my car and my kids take turns driving wherever we're going. I don't find the voices sassy - just overexaggerated for fun (you remember fun, right?). they get to imagine what kind of car their driving, who's coming with them, where they want to go and what they're going to pack in the car. Lighten up everyone and enjoy this toy! and the batteries have lasted from 10 months, so it's not a battery hog.
Life saver on road trip!! Posted 07 September 2007 I bought this to keep my 11 month old entertained on an 8 hour (unplanned) roadtrip. It kept her entertained more than I ever expected and as an added bonus, my 4 year old thought it was a cool baby toy and played with the 11 month old!! The car trip is over and the newness hasn't worn off yet...both still playing with it, so I give it an A+!
My son loves playing with this toy Posted 07 September 2007 Well, I can admit that the music and voices are a bit annoying on this toy.
However, it is not my toy, it is my son's toy and he loves playing with it.
It does have a volume control so I put it on the lower volume setting.
He plays with this toy every day even if it is just for 10-15 minutes.
He has quite a few toys to choose from while sitting on his playmat and at least this one
occupies his time. It is still much much better than watching TV.
I purchased this toy for him when he was 4 months old and he has not stopped playing with it.
Ohhh please! It's just a toy. Posted 04 September 2007 I'm stunned by the reviews for this product. How can anyone find this toy offensive? My daughter has loved this toy since the day we bought it. She plays with this toy longer than most. It lights up, its animated, it has buttons for her to push, she loves pulling on the gear shift and turning the rollers. It teaches, numbers, letters, animals, colors and shapes. What more would you expect from an infant toy? It has a delayed shut off so that it speaks a few minutes after your child finishes playing with it. Once she moves on to another toy, this delayed speaking feature lures her back to the toy again. Aside from it being a little irritating to the parent (it is loud and makes constant noise), I cannot see the harm at all in this one. For those parents who are concerned and considering its purchase you can always listen to it in the store beforehand. I truly don't think the average parent would find this offensive. The box says 6 mos and up. I agree with that, the older child might be bored by this.
v tech Posted 31 August 2007 My son likes the toy but the steering wheel is kind of hard. its not that easy to turn to the sides, even for myself.
