Our Editorial Review
Editorial Review The Barbie Doodle Pro is not as challenging as its predecessor-sketcher, but it's just as intriguing for younger kids, who will ponder the mystery of the sketching surface just the same. There's a fat, easy-grip stylus with a magnetic tip, and some magnetic stampers stored in a pull-out drawer. When the molded forms are pressed on the 10.5 by 7.5-inch doodling surface, pretty shapes are created. And, instead of shaking, there's a heart-shaped, sliding eraser for starting over instantly. Because there's no mess, and only a few loose pieces, it's also great for travel. --Diane Beall

Bigger than it seems, tons of fun Posted 03 January 2007 It looks small in the picture and the word "travel" makes you think it might be small, but this is actually a fairly big toy that provides quite a bit of fun. I got this for my nieces for Christmas, and when all was said and done, it was the one toy they kept fighting over. They all like to draw, but their mom doesn't trust them with crayons, pens, or markers, so this was the perfect present for them.
If you don't trust your kids with the permanent stuff that can cause a hassle, and you don't want to spend too much on a toy that lets them express their creativity, this is a great option. It comes with a few magnetic stamps that look like flowers and butterflies and the like, and it is simple to use. Even my 2 year old niece was able to use it without much trouble.
Great toy that is better AND bigger than it looks!
My little girl LOVES this! Posted 20 December 2006 Wow - I was kind of surprised to see negative feedback for this toy! My daughter received this for her second birthday, and she LOVES it. She absolutely loves the stamps that come with it, and while the magnets probably could be stronger, we've had no trouble with them staying in while she carries it. They can be *knocked* out fairly easy. Our slider/eraser works great, and it's easy enough for her to do on her own (which is a lifesaver). She adores anything to do with pink or princess, so if your little girl is the same way, I would highly recommend this toy. She would give it five stars, I know!
The only reason I drop to four is that our screen has gotten a little 'gray.' Sometimes she likes to black the entire screen with the magnets, and she will 'forget' to erase it when she's done playing. Well, do that enough times, and it's hard to get it completely clean. However, it isn't bad. It isn't hard to see or draw or anything like that. It's still perfectly usable and perfectly used! :)
It has even withstood her STANDING on it, so . . . I have found it to be very durable, very fun, and a good choice for any little princess! :) I think it's darling.
Good choice. Posted 01 January 2006 I needed to replace my kids first doodle, and am happy with my choice of the Barbie Doodle. The stamps are held by magnets..they could be a little stronger so they wouldn't just fall off, but the slide to clear the screen is easy.
