not bad for price Posted 13 August 2007 My daughter got this bed as a hand-me-down from her cousin. I will admit it is a cheep bed but I expected that with it being hollow plastic. However, I haven't had any problems with it. My daughter loves it because it's Dora and it's been the first time she's slept alone all night! I've even sat in it with my daughter at night to read and it's held us both up.
Great for the money Posted 02 May 2007 In all fairness, I bought the bed in a box, not just the bed alone, but I think it is definitely worth the money.
It isn't sturdy like a more expensive toddler bed, say a wooden bed. But it is plenty sturdy. I weigh 190 and sat on it without thinking to read to my little gal, and the bed held me up fine, no wobbles or anything.
The head and footboards are heavy plastic. I know a lot of people have complained about it, but I still think it is worth the money. Because it looks more like a toy, my 20 month old LOVES it. And it gets her to sleep through the nite, alone, and that makes us VERY happy.
She was very unhappy in her expensive crib, but sleeps like a dream in this bed. Waking to see Dora every morn gets her off to a good start.
Yes, as you have read, it is difficult to put together. My hubby said that once you get it together, you will never be able to get it apart, lol. That's a good thing. It takes some talent to put it together, but again, it is worth the money.
Listen, bottom line is, it is inexpensive, adorable, sturdy, looks like a toy, and makes my gal want to sleep in it. How can I ask for more?
If your lil one likes Dora, I highly suggest buying this.
Very Pleased Posted 06 January 2007 Bought this for my 2 year old grandaughter. She's tiny and was afraid of the bigger bed, so this was perfect for her. She loves the bed and sleeps very well in it.
Daughter loves it Posted 04 January 2007 Right from the moment it arrive my daughter loves it. She sleeps perfectly and has a dora stuffed to sleep with her at nightnight time.
Great Bed Posted 16 December 2006 Bed is great. Took a while to put together but have had absolutely no problems with it. My wife who weights about 125 lbs has laid on this bed and it has not even come close to falling apart. It states max weight should be 50 lbs but it appears to handle more than double. My daughter loves it and I recommend it if you dont mind the time it takes to put together. Sure it was a bit tricky but I believe the way the poles are made is for it to have more support. Loved the fact I could use the mattress from her crib.
