Batman shoots out of his car on a motorcycle - what boy could ask for more?? Posted 11 November 2008 My son is usually quick to get frustrated and sometimes has trouble figuring out new toys all on his own. But when he got this Batman car for his 6th birthday, he took to it immediately and had no trouble figuring it out on his own without directions. He was upset that batman didn't come off of the motorcycle because he wanted him to sit in the car too but we remedied that with a few dollars towards another figure. He and his 2 (almost 3) year old brother can have an hour or so of fun each time they get this out playing shoot and retrieve with Batman :) Batman shoots out fast and far which is exciting to them both.
Excellent Toy Posted 09 November 2008 I got this for my 6-year old. He plays with it all the time, even sleeps with it. He has yet to break it, so that says wonders about its durability. He'll be playing with this for a long time.
Too complicated for younger kids Posted 19 October 2008 My son is 5 and struggles to get this toy reloaded after shooting the batcycle out of the batmobile. The first step is to load the batcycle in backwards until you feel a spring resistance and then hear a click, it can take a few tries. Then you need to perfectly align both side with the rocket launchers attached by pressing them under the car, while at the same time pressing the top part down to latch the car back into position. This is just too complicated for young kids. My son can get it on occasion, but most times asks my husband because even I struggle to do it. We've had it for about a month and the car sits, he just plays with batman on the motorcycle. The age range on this toy should be higher.
Too unwieldy for a 4 year old Posted 09 October 2008 Bought for my 4 year old because of the heavy marketing campaign on tv. It didn't last very long, but he has enjoyed it even in parts. Certainly would be better for an older child
Hit of the party Posted 24 September 2008 My four year old grandson's face lit up like crazy as he described this toy when I asked what he wanted for his birthday. I believe it was all he expected. It was a hit. It appears to be quite durable and best of all requires no batteries.
