* Roleplay your way into galactic adventure with this lightsaber replica that extends with a flick of the wrist!

Editorial Review Take on villains across the galaxy--well, at least around the neighborhood--with this Star Wars lightsaber from Hasbro. With black ridges and other intricate details, the toy’s massive, silver-colored handle won’t win any ergonomics awards, but it does look authentic--like what you’d see in the movie. To extend the red, telescopic blade, just press the red button with your thumb and flick your wrist. The result is a little underwhelming, given the size of the handle--though, presumably, if the blade were much longer, kids might be poking each other in the eye, or knocking over the lamp. Once extended, the blade is pretty darn solid; in fact, it takes some effort to retract it again. The saber also features a handy belt clip. --Andy Boynton

Sweet!! Posted 27 May 2006 i'am a die hard star war sfan and collect lightsabers.I just ordered this in the mail and it is very fun, durable and educational. The good: Very strong no matter how hard you hit it,it will not break. Also the handle is very cool. Clips to your belt to suprise opponents. the bad:the handle gets scratched very easily. It has no sound effects. and the blade isn't very realistic. overall this a great toy and a must have to your lightsaber collection.
Please Read!!!!! Posted 08 May 2006 Get this or another non-electronic lightsaber. Yester day, I was fighting my friend and with only one hit, I DESTROYED his electronic lightsaber, just like that!!! I was using a non-electronic lightsaber, only it was the blue and silver one. I wasn't strength that I used to send his blade flying, his saber wasn't durable at all!! These can't break if yo're just fighting a friend with a brand-new non-electronic saber, I'll bet my life in that, if you're the one with the brand-new saber, even if the fight lasts forever. Actually, even if it's over 100 years old. These do get scratched VERY easily, thogh. that's why I gave it 4 stars for durability. it can be educational, thogh, because it can help teach you to fight. Overall, this toy gets 5 stars. ( I'm going to get this one very soon, maybe today.) Bye!!!
much better than electronic lightsabers Posted 21 April 2006 First of all, if your kid likes to PLAY with lightsabers this is the perfect one. The durabilty on this is amazing! And the best parts are that it retacts fully in the handle part, and the blade lockes in the handle unless you slide a red button down and then flick the blade out and it has a belt clip to attach to your pants. But the best part is.... it's not electronic! I mean all electronic role play stuff breaks eventually am I right? Like my friend and i were playing with his electronic lightsabers and when I crashed my darth vader one (I'm a born sith) against his luke one, the darth vader blade just snapped in half, pretty durable right,...WRONG! And no sound FX helps your kid build his imagination. The only down to this lighsaber and all the other ones alike, is that the blade isn't as long as the electronic lightsaber blade like the electronic one is 3 feet long, and this one is almoast 2 feet long, but if you use this kind and not the electric kind long enough, like a week, you get used to it.
light saber is great Posted 04 January 2006 i had the most fun with thisc light saber. Iuse it every time I play with my friends. I always use it and it has not broken even when I hit objects like trees and fences. It's the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
