Great gift for Dad!! Posted 22 July 2008 I purchased this product for my Dad on Father's Day. He said he wanted a helicopter but not to spend too much. I saw this helicopter by Air Hogs and thought, for the price why not try it out. On Father's day, he took it out of the box, charged it up and started flying his new helicopter. It wasn't easy, the first couple days he was having some difficulty controlling the helicopter but after a little practice and reading through other reviews and tips, from other buyers to add a little weight to the front end of the plane, he had no problem. Now he fly's his helicopter at least once a day without problems and my nephews love it. This helicopter is great for anyone 8 years+, with some practice. It's also crashed into the ceiling and walls and is still in perfect shape.WORTH THE MONEY!!
air hog Posted 20 July 2008 Thank you very much, we are having a lot of fun with our new toy!
Flying fun - Inside! Posted 30 June 2008 This indoor helicopter is a great concept, but the toy only lasted 5 days! I bought it for my Husband and he absolutely loved it! He flew it a few times a day for 3 days, and his flights would last around 10 minutes. Then, it stopped holding a charge. It would only fly for about 1-2 minutes, then gently fall to the ground. I tried changing all the batteries, but no luck. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out to be a very good present, as we had to send it back within a weeks time.
Good little copter for the price Posted 15 June 2008 Positives: Inexpensive and easy to get in the air. Mid-air electric trim control is helpful feature not on many others models.
Downsides: Even weak air currents knock it off its path. Pretty hard to control. Only runs for 6 minutes before needing charge (although this is par for the course, all little copters like this get between 4 and 6 minutes).
Fun but fragile Posted 14 June 2008 My 12-year old wanted this for her birthday. It's alot of fun, and works great, but with much use you find it's a very delicate toy. She's had to glue or repair certain parts.
