The main new feature is that, when the buttons are pushed, the controller can register how much pressure is being exerted. Aside from the Start and Select buttons, all of the functions are analog for greater control, a wider variety of operations, and a more compelling interactive experience. Playing a game without this is just not playing at all. You can feel the action as you are playing. Awesome!

IT IS NOT THE BEST, IF YOU ASK ME DURAL SHOCK ONE IF THE BEST BUT SOME GAME YOU MUST HAVE 2, THAT IS THE ONLY REASON I GOT THE CONTROLLER. tO HOLD BUTTONS YOU HAVE TO PUSH THEM REALY HARD FOR THEM TO WORK.

I am happy, the controller is new or looks new. I have had no problems. The controller came in fast I think under a week, no complaints

I'm not sure what to really say about this item other that it is very difficult to play most games without it. I think it's necessity outweighs any discussion over how "good" or "bad" it is. I highly, strongly, adamantly recommend this item for anyone with a Playstation 2.
