Twisty fun Posted 11 August 2008 It is well designed creative toy. My 8 and 11 year old boys play with it often. It has found room in my car and we love playing with it and creating new shapes and tools.
A must have!
Loved it as a kid, Love it as an adult Posted 25 May 2008 I had one of these when I was a kid in the 80's. I could make all sorts of shapes with it. It broke a few years back and I finally broke down and got a new one. I have three kids now, ages 8-15. This toy was used all day long today (it just arrived). My kids are excited about learning news ways to twist and shape it into different forms and patterns. It really has a unique way of bringing hand-eye coordination together as well as sparking up the puzzle-solving and imagination parts of the brain. A Rubik's cube challenges you to solve a puzzle. This challenges you to push your creativity to the limit. It was fun for me to revisit the shapes I used to make, but even more fun to watch my children take it up, have fun with it as well as struggle with it. It became a fun way of dealing with challenge, frustration, etc. I just might know a good Christmas present for all three kids this year....
blast from the past Posted 07 January 2008 I had a rubiks snake when I was younger and my daughter found this one for me for Christmas. I had nearly forgotten how much fun it was. But the best part was sharing something with my daughter and teacher her something new. She loves making a ball with the snake/twist. This rubiks twist puts up with alot of use and abuse. My old rubiks snake is at least 20 years old and just recently snapped apart. I'm so glad they're still making something that is so simple and fun at the same time.
Fun way to burn time Posted 16 September 2007 Rubik's Twist comes in handy at times of boredom; I keep it on my desk and make a new shape when I need a break from homework. It's fun to make shapes yourself, but you can also look online for twisting algorithms to create other objects that people have made. They range from trivial to complex, and the difficult part is maintaining the same orientation throughout the twisting process. The only disadvantage to this particular version of Rubik's Twist is durability - I wish that the original and more durable "Rubik's Snake" was still available.
