4x4 Rubiks cube Posted 06 April 2008 It's an awesome upgrade from the 3x3 cube, if you are into cubes get any kind of 4x4 cube, then just keep getting bigger and bigger. It's not that hard at all really, but Good Luck anyways!
cheap Posted 13 February 2008 I bought this on a whim while on amazon, just to satisfy my 80's kid inside me, but only really played it a handful of times (was never really good at it. never got the full colors on each side). Both of my kids have played with it, and i understand that it is a pretty basic piece of plastic, but after only a couple weeks, the pieces were loose, and the stickers had begun to peel (this is from normal play use, not from us throwing it at a wall or anything).
So, as much as i wanted to give this a great review, I would think that there are other Rubix Cubes by other manufacturers that won't fall apart as this one has. Give them a try instead.
I disagree with many reviews Posted 08 December 2007 I have had no problems with this cube. The stickers are not falling off, and no centers have popped out. It actually turns like a dream.
This cube is much more of a challenge than the 3x3x3, and even the 5x5x5. It does not have fixed centers, which makes it need much more thinking. Overall, this is a great cube!
Great addition to my cube addiction Posted 31 October 2007 This is a fun toy for any cube addict. I ordered it, then read all of the reviews about how it doesn't hold up. It seems to hold up just fine for me. It does take a bit of getting used to because the mechanisms don't work the same as a 3x3 but it moves quickly now that I have broken it in. I'm a big fan of the 3x3 and wanted the challenge of the 4x4. I was actually disappointed in that challenge. It took some time to get the hang of the 3, but the 4 was a little too easy to figure out. The 4 takes a bit longer, but it doesn't seem to be quite as fun as the 3 for some reason. In any event, it's a lot of fun to have a couple different ones around to play with.
