Designed for girls ages eight and up, this electronic journal makes keeping secrets fun. Safe And Sound Your secrets are safe with the Password Journal. To prying eyes, the pages of the journal will look blank. Your writing is only revealed with the glow light and magic pen, which respond only to you. The journal automatically opens with voice recognition and your password. It also recognizes voice commands to activate the reading light, calendar, alarms, and more. When others try and access your secrets, the journal informs you of the intruder alert. Made with durable, hard plastic, the journal has a fold-over flap design that looks like a cross between a laptop and a trendy school binder. With additional storage space, there's room for things like the Personal Journal Scrapbook (sold separately), which records and plays back personal messages.

6 yr old daughter FRUSTRATED Posted 13 September 2008 My daughter received this diary and loved it! Until she forgot how she said her password and started crying every time she couldn't remember it. I have taken it from her several times because she cried from so much frustration. When she can get it open she has a blast!
OK but... Posted 27 August 2008 The diary is okay but there is very little space in it for actual writing. The note pad is really little and will be finished quite soon. The fun of it was really that it has the electronic password.I bought it for a 9 year old a couple of weeks ago and she is a little bored by it already.
What evey 8-12 year old girl wants, but some flaws in the product. Posted 30 July 2008 My daughter was thrilled when she received this as a gift for her 8th birthday. All girls her age suddenly develop a desire to have secrets which they can keep and whisper to their diary, and this was the perfect present which fulfilled that wish. After her party was over, she put away all her other presents but carried around this journal with her. She told me that she will entrust all her little secrets to this journal from now on.
However, the password system of the journal does not work very well. Although she recorded her password carefully, any high pitched sound of the same duration would open up the journal. It opened up even when I laughed and she was not thrilled! Added to that, she tried saying the password she had recorded and the journal did not open even she said it more or less the same way as recorded before!
So after a couple of days, when the novelty wore off, my daughter did not want to use it as she said her secrets were not safe any more in this journal.
