Easily the Best RPG Game to be Released by Nintendo Posted 09 March 2007 Even though I haven't completed this game yet, this is the best game for all ages, Mario fans or not. It takes your gameplaying experience to a total new dimension that has not been seen yet. Yep, since this is "Paper Mario", that means you are in the PAPER DIMENSION. What really made me interested into this totally new concept is that how characters can maneuver around the levels and landscapes, which is totally made out of paper. It is a cross between 2D and 3D. That's what was interesting about this game in the whole start. It is sometimes easy, and sometimes hard, but mostly hard, so it is a good idea to get the whole handbook with the game (found in Gamestop, or other used game stores near you). You may love the violence in the game. Great cartoon effects, and great moves by Mario; In this game he can do moves that he couldn't do normally in the regular games. If you get the chance, find the fire hammer; it will save you someday in the game. The characters that travels with you, especially Yoshi. You can't get over Yoshi, by the way! He maybe young & small, but this yoshi has quite an attitude. Easily one of the best RPG characters of the whole game. Don't mind reading this review anymore. The game will tell you how good it is better than I can, so buy the game as soon as possible before they are all gone!
This game is flippin' awesome Posted 07 March 2007 Paper mario is one of the best RPG in the world. The graphics are awesome and the sound is great. The X-dueds ( I call them X-dueds ) have captured peach ( as usual ) but this time Bowser gets mad because it's "His Thing". I am not going to tell the whole story. I have like 60 games and this is my favorite. Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door is a must have for any young gamer. :)
Wow... A must buy. Posted 26 February 2007 Storyline-Good. Not amazing, but decent. Peach is kidnapped yet again, but this time it's not bowser, but the evil Xnauts. Bowser is furious at them, he wants to do it himself. You also have to find the crystal stars to open the door to a treasure. It involves being tricked, becoming a shadow, becoming a star, the mafia and love, and all sorts of fun stuff. Cutscenes are a ton of fun.
Controls-Excellent. You use your paperieness to your benifit, slipping in between bars, blowing of sheets that cover hidden doors, and turning into airplanes. The battles are easy, turn based, and based on timing. Each move is differant.
Characters-Each partner is unique and has alot to say. The have personalities and goals, and they all have differant abilities, both in and out of battle.
Extras-Stupid things, like the audience, the job board, and the tattle log make the game alot more fun!
Audio-Could use a little work.
Visual-No complaints, I love the game's graphics.
Replayability-Pretty low.
The Best RPG Game You Will Ever Play Posted 10 February 2007 I have over 50+ games and this is totally my favorite. I got this game for christmas from my cousin who got my addicted to video games. It took me about a year of almost non-stop playing, and I am totally pro at games. The story is beautiful and the ending is over the top. I thought this game had THE best story line and ending in the history of all games. You really feel for the characters and the people you meet in the game. The only problem I had with the game is the fact that once you beat the game, there's really nothing you can do afterwards. (Unless you didn't defeat the Pit of 100 Trial or help all the request in the Trouble Building) This is the game that got me addicted to RPGs and I think it really does live up to its successful title. (p.s. for all the people who thougt it was boring: you must not be Mario fans!)
zdogg Posted 28 January 2007 I loved playing Paper Mario 1 for the N64, but when I played The Thousand Year Door for the Gamecube, boy was I impressed! There is alot of adventure in this game and plenty to do. It has a wonderful story line that you can understand, and fun battles to fight. Its actually even funny. This game is very fun and exciting, but the developers could of done a whole lot of a better job on the ending. It has an INCREDEBLY HARD boss battle and after you've beat that long, hard, boss, you get to see a stupid ending. The only thing thats wrong with The Thousand Year door is that it just didnt give that one great ending that everyone expected.
