fun for everyone! Posted 25 March 2007 I actually bought this for my 4 year old son. Yes, 4 years old, I know bad mom. I needed him to stop playing with his big brothers and sisters DS'. Needless to say, I think I play it more than him. Not that he doesn't love it, but when I got the "Brain Games" game, I can not skip a day of using it. Much better than the original ds.
Good, but breaks too easily Posted 25 March 2007 I returned an original DS to get this because the screen is brighter, but to my disappointment, the L button broke on this. So did the hinge, and it gets dirty far too easy. If you have an original DS, keep it. If you really want to buy this, get ready to send it in for repairs every few months.
Lighter is brighter Posted 24 March 2007 I just got my Nintendo DS 3 days ago and I was so eager to start playing!!My best friend told me how to operate the system and I had it up and running in 5 minutes!
The new DS lite can fit almost anywhere and the screen is super bright! I found it easy to operate and lots of fun!! A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++(and so on like that)
Pretty in Pink Posted 24 March 2007 i love The DS Lite! Pink is also m FAVORITE color! I got it for Christmas and am very impressed! It's like so much brighter than the old DS. Closed, it has as a somewhat curved shape wich makes it very modern. It's easy to put in your hands when you're pressing the L and R buttons. I also love the fact that you can play gameboy advance games on it. I found that out and was like "Oh Yeah!" I'm orderig the Game of Life/Yahtzee/Pay Day game tonight. I must say the DS lite is outstanding! Some of the games are easily beaten, but there are more good than bad games for DS lite. I do want to say if you do have an old DS neither the chargers nor the cases fit the DS lite. But I would get it if I were you!
Not just a game but a learning machine. Posted 22 March 2007 When first looking at the DS-Lite I thought it was just another game console that would further bring on inactivity of the kids. But after my wife got one for my son and got Brain Age with it, we noticed that he has an increase in grades and thinking of problems. I find it hard to believe that this could do it but now by getting both boys a DS-Lite and Brain Age and Brain Academy they argure less and have fun learning. They still are less active but they at least they are exercising their brains. I think that if you choose the correct games this can become a great learning tool but keep in mind there are few games that challenge the mind.
