Editorial Review Music stimulates the brain and encourages early learning skills. This interactive cube lets children choose from any combination of five different instruments--harp, French horn, piano, flute, and violin--to collaborate on eight Mozart tunes. A solo flute might play an excerpt from "Ah! Vous Dirai-je, Maman (Twinkle, Twinkle)," or a French horn intone a theme from The Marriage of Figaro. Other choices include "Country Dance #5," "Come Sweet May," "Der Vogelfanger" (from The Magic Flute), "March in D," "Landler," and "Là Ci Darem la Mano" (from Don Giovanni). Press the "orchestra" button and hear all the instruments play together. As the songs play, each selected instrument button flashes to the beat. The sound is not orchestral quality, but you get a fair electronic approximation of each instrument. Operates on three AA batteries (not included). --Tami Horiuchi

Entertaining Toy Posted 22 July 2008 My one year old son has played with this toy since he was 6 months old and it still entertains him. While the instruments do sound a bit synthetic, the toy still provides an introduction to different instruments and how multiple instruments can create a complex music piece.
Great product but gets old Posted 17 July 2008 My friend's 1 year old loved it for like 1 month then she got tired of it.
great toy with musical influence... Posted 03 July 2008 my son, who is now almost 18 mos. old, loves his mozart cube. he has played with this toy since christmas when we got it for him. most days he'll play in the living room and he'll play his mozart cube then go on to explore other toys...when the music stops he comes back to his cube to play it again! we're hoping that musical influences like this cube will encourage him to want to learn music.
this cube is well constructed and lights up when the instrument blocks are playing. we liked the mozart cube enough to buy one for my sister and our best friend who are both pregnant!
Awesome Posted 01 July 2008 My son just turned 1 and has had this since he was about 7 mos old. It was love at first sight and he still loves it! I only wish there was a volume switch, though.....
