Our Editorial Review
Editorial Review Music stimulates the brain and encourages early learning skills. This interactive cube lets children choose from any combination of five different instruments--harp, French horn, piano, flute, and violin--to collaborate on eight Mozart tunes. A solo flute might play an excerpt from "Ah! Vous Dirai-je, Maman (Twinkle, Twinkle)," or a French horn intone a theme from The Marriage of Figaro. Other choices include "Country Dance #5," "Come Sweet May," "Der Vogelfanger" (from The Magic Flute), "March in D," "Landler," and "Lā Ci Darem la Mano" (from Don Giovanni). Press the "orchestra" button and hear all the instruments play together. As the songs play, each selected instrument button flashes to the beat. The sound is not orchestral quality, but you get a fair electronic approximation of each instrument. Operates on three AA batteries (not included). --Tami Horiuchi

Too Loud Posted 13 March 2007 I thought the idea behind this toy was great. I love all the different musical instruments and how you can put them together or listen to them seperatly. However, I do have one major complaint for this item. It is increadibly loud! I know that a lot of baby toys on the market can tend to be a little loud and annoying at times but this one has outdone them all. I tried putting the blue painters tape all over the holes where the sound comes out to tone it down a bit as I have with many of our other toys with speakers but this didn't do much to bring it down to an acceptable noise level. I hope that the manufacturers will come out with a new version of this toy in the future that isn't so loud as I think it is a great concept.
Great birthday present Posted 10 March 2007 I've given both of my new grandchildren a Magic Cube and they love them. Even my 3 year old grandson enjoys playing with it. My granddaughter loves to turn it on and then dance to the music.
My Son's Favorite Toy! Posted 14 February 2007 My 17 month old son received this as a gift for Christmas and it has become his favorite toy. We put him in his crib at night and he plays with it until he falls asleep. We take it on long car rides and it keeps him entertained. We can't recommend it enough!
Mozart Magic Cube Posted 20 January 2007 Excellent product. Well constructed. Easy to operate, pleasant tunes. 19 month old is enjoying it and it seems will get a lot of future use.
Great toy! Posted 09 January 2007 I gave this to my 1 year old grandson at Christmas. He spent more time with this than anything else. He was fasinated by the various sounds and combinations of sounds---even his older siblings (ages 2-4) wanted to play with it.
