popular toy at our house - but pricey Posted 06 May 2007 this toy wins the 'most-played-with' of our toys for the more than one month since we got it as a gift for our 6 year old son. Our 4-8 year old kids all enjoy it.
only limitations
would be nice to have more pieces (even though we got 100, there aren't as many as we'd like)
and it's pricey
The Ideal Toy. No batteries, noise or mess AND kids like it! Posted 10 April 2007 Like another reviewer, I rarely write reviews but want to help get the word out on this product. I stumbled upon Magnatiles while doing some other search on Amazon and felt compelled to buy based on the reviews. Well, based on our experience with our 3 year old daughter, you can believe the reviews. This product is awesome. My daughter has played with it every day so far (no 1 hit wonder here like some toys that are played with for 15 minutes and never used again). I love how she uses them creatively and also that it is not a computer game with sounds and lights. Plus, they are easy to clean up and store! And I find myself playing along. The only knock is the price but do yourself a favor (if you can swing it) and start out with the 100 pack.
Excellent toy! Posted 13 January 2007 I had never seen this before - I just saw them on amazon a couple weeks ago and decided to purchase them. I received them yesterday and since then my daughter (3 and a half), who is just getting into building stuff, has not stopped playing with it!!! Wonderful toy - very open ended for them to use their creativity and imagination, at whatever level they are. They are also very easy to store. If she keeps playing with these the way she is, I may have to buy more for her to build more sophisticated structures. I have a younger son (9 months) who is also very interested in them, and since these are big, I can let him do that.
My only complaint is that I do not understand why these have to be so expensive. If they were cheaper I would be buying these for every kid I know!!
outstanding product Posted 10 January 2007 This product gets a lot of playtime. I bought magna tiles for my 4 year old son, but he can never play alone. My 8 year old daughter and my seven year old nephew can't seem to stay away. I bought a 100 piece set and I had to order more magna tiles a week after Christmas. They are very
durable as my son is very rough, I think they will last a very long time.
One night after my son was asleep, I caught my 17 year old daughter sitting on the floor playing with the magna tles. Expensive, but worth the money because they actually play with them a lot.
Worth every penny Posted 10 November 2006 I rarely write reviews but this toy really rates the effort. The tiles are appealing to a vast range of age groups and are indestructable. We have a 1 year old and a 5 year old and we will certainly add to our 100 piece set someday soon. And since they're so easy to store, these will be one of the few toys we keep around after the kids grow up --to have when we entertain people with young children.
