Amazon.com Review Sneak a peek inside SpongeBob's head! Down in Bikini Bottom, Plankton has somehow squeezed his way into the brain of SpongeBob SquarePants. As Plankton starts flipping levers and turning gears, bubbles shoot from SpongeBob's mouth and his big eyes spin. Affable SpongeBob, throughout alternating looks of glee and concern, simply goes with the flow. Standing over 11 inches tall, this is a big Bob, complete with trademark red tie, tube socks, and black shoes. Turn SpongeBob around to see what's on his mind--and how to control it, with instrument panels, moving gears, and a working catapult to launch the bubbles. The colorful diagrams found in the detailed instruction booklet are invaluable in assembling the 445 pieces of this set, which requires the building skills of an older child or adult. As with all Legos, the design is customizable and compatible with other Lego products. Mix and match with other SpongeBob SquarePants Lego sets (sold separately) to create a custom cartoon-inspired seascape. --Heather Lyndon

Building a giant SpongeBob Posted 18 January 2008 My son LOVES this Lego set. It occupies him to no end (in connection with other Lego sets). He enjoys the creative expression he can have while using Lego's and this is great for him.
It stands about 12-16 inches tall once completed. I suppose with more yellow Lego's it could be even larger. The drawback is SpongeBob's eyes seem to fall out often.
good starter kit for 9 year old girl Posted 07 January 2008 i bought this lego kit for my 9 year old grandaughter. she would only call on me if she ran into a problem. she loved building it. she had a very good lesson in following directions. i give her a lot of credit because there are portions of the instuction manual that are very poor. the section on putting his shoes together required very close inspection with a flashlight to see various layers. regardless, she had a great time building it. i would recommend it to others.
Awesome Lego Set Posted 20 January 2007 This is an awesome lego set. I was excited when I got it and had a lot of fun putting it together. My only complaint is that the legs don't want to stay on. Plankton's lab is very neat and cool. SpongeBob is a decent size. Perfect price.
Happy boy Posted 16 January 2007 My 7 yr old nephew requested "Build-A-Bob" for Christmas. I had a hard time finding it in my local stores. I went to amazon.com, it was available, I ordered it, and my nephew was one happy little boy!! He had a huge smile on his face upon opening his gift and said "YES!"
spongebob fans Posted 12 January 2007 This Spongebob is great if you don't want to play with it. The little "shop" inside is body is cute and a lot of fun to look at. He took a long time to put together, but everytime he was played with he came apart. After two days of putting him back together I put him on a shelf, only to have him fall down and break apart. He has now been sitting in his box for two months waiting to be put back together, next time I think I'll try glue.
