Both my 6 year old and 9 year old loved it Posted 11 January 2007 I wish I had bought 2 or 2 similar of this type. They were both discussing who could have what parts and loved being able to make these small vehicles. They love making small car type lego creations and this was a big hit!
Nice Collection Posted 10 January 2007 This has plenty of combonations that you can built, and some more that you can think of. This a new Lego Line, and my kid (with the help of his 11 y/o brother) is having fun coming up with new models for cars. I see them building a new one every little now and then. So this toy is not like the ohter Lego lines. This will have a lot more creation in it. Don't mess around with any other building blocks brand names. LEGO is the best. Check my reviews I bought alot of them. I know what I'm talking about.
Everything for young engineers! Posted 09 January 2007 If you have a son like mine that can't get enough of cars, trucks... well, anything on wheels... then this is the PERFECT gift! Within a matter of days, my 4 year old (with the help of Dad,) had all of the cars built and they looked great! We always struggled with not having enough wheels to make all of the transportation vehicles that he wanted. We're set now! Get this if you can. You won't regret it!
LEGO: Simple Toys that DON'T Tear-up... Posted 31 December 2006 As a Child not growning-up with these LEGO sets I must say that I really missed-out on alot of fun. This set is quite a treat, even to me (mid 40's). My 6 yr. old son likes his awfully well, and there's nothing to tear-up about them. This is his 1st LEGO set, so it took him awhile to understand the booklet showing the different steps involved. Once he got it, there was no stopping him...
I'll definitely be buying my Kid's more LEGO kits in the future.
This kit gets 4 Stars, simply because I'm not sure if others are better or worse (if there is such a thing w/ LEGO's)
Versatile set with many building ideas Posted 03 July 2005 This is a superb LEGO set giving kids many different options for building a wide range of vehicles. The instruction book that is included with the set has 76 pages (!) of building instructions and ideas. The instruction booklet rates each of the different creations with a difficulty level from easy to intermediate to expert.
There are enough pieces that you can actually make all three of the vehicles shown on the cover at one time. My son loves playing with it daily (and so do I...)
