Product Description Boaters are lost at sea -- it's time to send out the Coast Guard helicopter! When you spot them, lower the self-winding winch, hoist the emergency life raft, and carry it back to shore. Better hurry -- that shark looks hungry! Sides on lift raft open and close. Helicopter's propeller and rotor really spin. Open the sides of the helicopter to access the stretcher and equipment. Lower the winch, hook on to the life raft, and press the button to raise it up. Helicopter is on wheels. Set includes helicopter, life raft, four minifigures and shark. Measures 13" long. 445 pieces.

My son loves his LEGO City Coast Guard. Wow!!! Great Price and no driving from store to store to locate and no sales tax. Quick delivery and great condition. LEGO's are a great mind building skill.

This is the first set I purchased from the new Lego City Coast Guard series. I have constructed the smaller Lego helicopters before, and I was struck by the size of this set - it was larger than I expected. As noted in a previous review, it is wide enough for two mini-figures to sit side by side.
The helicopter has two doors on either side of the cargo bay, in which you will find a working winch. It works by pulling out the string/thread tied to it, then simply pressing a button on the passenger side of the exterior cockpit to reel the winch back in. My 3-year-old was especially impressed by this feature - he repeated the process some twenty times before I told him that it was time to stop.
The set includes a life raft and four mini-figures - the flippers included fit nicely on a mini-figure and are a nice touch. The helicopter is also solidly built - it has not fallen apart as of yet. Overall, my expectations were not very high for this set but it happened to surprise me.

The Coast Guard Helicopter is a real step forward compared to other more traditional lego helicopter sets. This set is large (2 minifigs can sit side-by-side in the cockpit) but more importantly it is life-like. If you compare this model to the Coast Guard Sea Stallion heavy helicopters you will immediately see the resemblance. Also, despite its imposing size this vehicle is much more durable than other sets I have built in the past. I really love this helicopter.
Comes with a very realistic looking life raft with sailor as well as a diver and two pilots.
