Our Editorial Review
Product Description The Nursery Rhymes CD Player is a take-along infant learning toy that teaches your little one nursery rhymes, first words, animal names and sounds. Your baby simply presses the center button to send the CD spinning around while the three colored lights dance. When it stops on one of five animals, it sings an appropriate nursery rhyme. Your little learner can then press the three lighted buttons on top to hear the animal name, the sound and hear the nursery rhyme again. Also comes with bangle beads on the side for additional play. Requires 3 "AA" batteries (included).

Entertaining for baby, slightly annoying for mommy Posted 06 November 2008 First the good, my 9 month old is totally intrigued by this, it keeps him busy for at least 20 solid minutes. He especially likes the flashing lights.
It seems really well built (I bought it second hand). I have left this switched on for hours at a time and the batteries last forever.
Now the bad(-ish)...My son's favorite thing to do is hold the face to the floor to make the player 'spin', this can be pretty loud and I think he likes that.
I find the style of singing on a couple of the nursery rhymes pretty irritating (Baa, baa black sheep - shudder). BUT I can deal with it. Thank goodness for the volume control!
Lots of fun Posted 20 October 2008 Cute, solid, takes a child's abuse and still works. 3 batteries came with the purchase so it was ready to use.
Great for babies Posted 13 October 2008 My son loved this toy as a baby (he got it at just a few months old). The music isn't too bad, and he liked the lights. He stopped playing with it, however, a bit after he turned a year old. By then, we had gotten plenty of use out of it, so I don't feel it was a waste of money. The sound quality does seem to deteriorate with time and the spin button sticks after a lot of use. I would consider purchasing this for a baby and not a toddler. A toddler would probably lose interest quickly.
Awesome toy! Posted 17 September 2008 I bought this toy to give as a gift but I couldn't resit; before I wrap I tried the toy and I was happy with my choice.
fun for a while Posted 06 September 2008 My little one got this as a Christmas gift (9 months old). He really enjoyed it at first. The "cd" would stick and less than 6 months later the button doesn't spin it at all. It was fun while it lasted. He really liked carrying it around! It just wasn't durable enough.
