Tougher then it looks! Posted 10 March 2007 I thought this was more a kids game but my wife loved TIM (The Incredable Machine) and we have been looking for a replacement that will work in XP. This is not an easy game to play as you really have to use your brain to solve the puzzles. I find the controls a little hard to get the hang of but after you do then the game is a real challenge. Highly Recommended!
Very fun addictive Game. Posted 09 March 2007 My children 8,9 love this game almost as much as I do! I took a 2-hour lunch 'hour' the other day to continue playing this game. Some of the challenges are tough, taking time and effort to complete, but very fun and rewarding when you do. Great game.
Excellent Posted 04 March 2007 Great game. Really gets you thinking about how to utilise your basic elements of physics.
I originaly bought the game for my 12 year old daughter but it didn't hold her interest. I think it would have done if she were a boy.........I love it...and I'm her Dad.
Challenging, fun, with mellow music Posted 28 February 2007 My wife and I bought this for our 5 year old son. We thought it would be a good game to play with him since we figured it would be a bit too difficult for him to handle by himself. It seemed visually interesting even if he wasn't able to fully manipulate it yet while still leaving lots of room for him to grow into. Surprisingly, he has made several relatively complex contraptions by himself in the "lab" portion of the game. The "game" section is still beyond him at this point, but he loves to watch me solve the puzzles.
So the game can be simple enough for a young child (if they are good with a mouse) or it can be extremely challenging even for an adult - It's given me reason to pause a few times while figuring out some of the puzzles.
Our favorite aspect of this game, however, is the mellow background music. It is such a great antidote to the hyperactive Dora the Explorer type games usually marketed towards my son's age group.
Plays smooth as glass on a 3 year old iMac G5.
