Good Toy......But --- Posted 23 September 2008 When I purchased this toy as a birthday gift for a child who was turning 6, I was under the impression that the toy would be delivered as it was advertised on the site I was looking at... ie. it would arrive as a complete unit the way it was advertised on television, since the cost was in excess of the price advertised on the television. When the toy arrived, it was simply the unit and the R/C controller..... and did not include the track and signs that were advertised on the television, and that were pictured on the advertisement when the unit was purchased. This was a big let down for the child, and for me, as it is impossible to explain to a 6 year old that the company screwed him out of the accessories he saw advertised on the television. Personally, I will never purchase another item from the company I ordered this product from, so they can consider that the profit they made from this unit, as all the money they will ever receive from me.
grandson loved it Posted 18 September 2008 Our grandson mentioned he wanted this toy for his birthday. He was thrilled to get it, and I haven't heard any negatives about it since he received it.
Not good enough for the cost Posted 07 September 2008 It's a pretty good toy, but for how expensive it is it should perform better. The car's four wheels are just cosmetic - really there are two small wheels hidden under the body's plastic shell. The two-wheel design makes driving on walls that aren't completely smooth tough, cause the car won't be able to drive up parts that bump out. Having the car's four wheels not really turn looks cheap and less cool.
It drives pretty well on the walls and ceiling, but it moves pretty slow. On the ground it's faster, about the speed you'd expect for such a small R/C.
The car is noisy when it's in wall-mode, the fan is about as loud as a hairdryer. It's fallen off the wall a few times and not been damaged, because it's so light it seems durable enough to stand up to normal use.
It's pretty fun to drive on the walls and ceiling, but I wish it were faster and that all four wheels actually spun. It's expensive for not having those features.
Fun toy, don't pay too much! Posted 02 September 2008 This is a fun little car, and works well on the walls. It isn't worth a penny more than I paid for it (29.99) at W--M---, though!
And keep your receipt, it seems a little flimsy. We've had such bad experience with air hogs items, that I don't quite trust this will last very long.
