Great idea, no durability Posted 29 October 2007 We bought this for my daughter when she was 5 and she loved using it, we went on to buy several other games (Ariel's Undersea Adventures, Cinderella and Scoobie Doo) all have been very entertaining and I would say they have helped with her numeracy and literacy in a very positive but undemanding way. HOWEVER!!! The first console died (one month before the warranty ran out, but we'd lost the receipt!) and the replacement that we then purchased has now also died with the same symptoms - you tried to turn it on and although on occassions it might have made an effort, more often than not it did not, resulting in an upset child. The second one finally died a few weeks ago (again while still under warranty) so maybe third time lucky? They are now advertsing it as having been redisigned which rather draws the conclusion that there was a design flaw all along. If you buy this, the games are great but make sure you keep the warranty details and receipt and try to ensure you get the new model!
v tech smile Posted 19 September 2007 brought this for my 3 yr old afraid to say he played it twice but finds it to hard.also the graphics are poor making it hard to read sometimes.other than that a good purchase
Excellent Kiddies Console! Posted 01 March 2007 I bought this console for my son's 3rd birthday, as he always wants to play on his sister's xbox. He has it on the tv downstairs and it is so easy to switch from the tv to the game, he chooses his own game, puts it in n away he goes. He has 8 games so far, all for age 3-5, so a lot of choice. The control is excellent, being big, so easy to hold, buttons are very recognisable with their colours and the joystick is easy to steer. Although being 3 he does get annoyed when he can't do it! I would recommend this console to anyone with a young child, and I am currently thinking about getting the vsmile pocket, as it takes the same games but can be transported.
Great and easy to use Posted 27 January 2007 My son has had this for a year and he loves it. Very easy to use he is able to change the games himself, and learnt his way around really easily. Perfect game console for a bit of quiet time as you can turn the sound off. Has helped with counting and letter recognition. I would reccomend this.
wow! and playable from 2 Posted 24 October 2006 This is agreat product possibly the best for little ones in this genre. I was quite worried that my 5 year old played too many games, but how can i moan when he gains so much from them. He amazes me on spiderman, mickey and aladdin, who knew he was so bright, (except me but im biased.) My 2 year old wanted to join in. At first he struggled but after 3 or 4 attempts at it he is great, esp on the winnie the pooh and care bears. What a lovely product and something for everyone with all the games on the market.
