Our Editorial Review
Product Description At the end of a long day of pulling cargo and passengers, all the hard working little engines need a place to rest. This engine shed has space for storing up to 8 engines, but Thomas isnt ready to go in just yet, and is steaming around the track and rail

My son's favourite toy! Posted 02 November 2008 I bought this for my son's 2nd birthday and it was an instant hit. Now nearly a year later it is his favourite toy and he can't put it down. He loves putting the track together and pushing the trains around making up stories. We've recently bought him some more track which was urgently needed. With Christmas coming he keeps asking for more track still and more of the trains to add to his collection. It is very durable and an excellent toy to take away as the trains and the track all pack away inside. I will definitely be buying more of the 'take along' playsets to add to this one.
Hours of fun with this toy! Posted 02 October 2008 I bought this shed and play set for my son twelve months ago when he turned three. He absolutely loved it then and still does now. He's a normal lively almost four year old now and the shed is still going strong (not one of the doors have come off) and looks like new where many of his other things have long gone. The track supplied is the older thicker plastic type that stays together better than the new... but as many of the newer sets have connection pieces of track with them, it can join onto any set.
The front slides forward to show a working turntable with some finishing touches. Very occasionally my boy pulls the tray out too far when he pulls quite hard, but it goes back easily with my help and no bits of plastic have broken off. The doors each have compartments behind, of various lengths (as they run diagonally back) so my son likes to see which train can fit in each. He has Spencer and his truck which seems about the longest, and that can fit in easily. The top opens and catches closed firmly enough to support the weight of numerous trains when being carried by the handle. The space inside the top can store the pieces of track or... as my son does... makes an extra 'bedroom' for more trains lying on their sides.
All in all an excellent toy that my son has had loads of fun with.
Love this toy Posted 13 August 2008 I ACTUALLY WON THIS TOY AND THE TRAVELLING CASE FROM THE THOMAS MAGAZINE, MY SON IS 3 YEARS OLD AND THIS IS A PERMANENT FIXTURE ON OUR TABLE, HE PLAYS WITH IT NON-STOP, HE CAN OPEN THE CASE HIMSELF AND FIX THE TRACK TOGETHER, I WOULD DEFINATLEY RECOMMEND IT.

Take along fun Posted 02 November 2007 We bought this take-along engine shed a couple of years ago and it has been used so many times since then. It is the ideal size to take away, as the track fits inside the lid and there is enough space to take several trains, tenders and trucks. This set has been on every holiday with us and both of my boys (now 5 and 2) have such fun with it. It's a little piece of home in every unfamiliar hotel room or holiday home, and picking the right trains and making sure they have all the right pieces of track is an important job for them while mum and dad are doing the rest of the packing!! I couldn't have imagined how useful this set would be, and I heartily recommend it for travel fun.
