Product Description 'Cryptobiosis' means 'suspended animation', a phenomenon found in the Brine Shrimp, a species to which 'Sea Monkeys' are closely related. Their eggs, after being stored indefinitely will hatch and a full shrimp-life-cycle will begin again. Our kit consists of a 15cm plastic tank with built-in magnifying windows, and three envelopes: these contain water-purifier, eggs and a source of food. The eggs hatch almost immediately after being placed in the filled tank, and the subsequent rearing and caring is simple.
The creatures, almost invisible when they hatch, can soon grow to 1-2cm long and have many intriguing features including being reactive to light. Owning them is an education which could lead anywhere. They come with an informative and entertaining booklet. Spare food, eggs etc. are available.

I have had mine for a long time now and they continue to breed. They are fantastic and all you need to do after purchasing this kit is buy extra food which is only £2.50 a pack. As long as the instructions are followed properly they last for years.

i recently got some sea monkeys for my brother. at first he thought they were dead as he coudn't see them but after 2 or 3 days i was fascinated by them. He seemed really pleased aswell. I bought some for myself.they are strange little creatures. 4 stars for the sea monkeys.
i give 0 stars for amazon. yes they really are 4.99 at woolworths in cheltenham. lolz
hat p.s. i doubt this will get put on amazon website but wotever.

sea-monkeys are amazing! the first time i grew mine, which was quite a while ago, i was fascinated!! instant pets were my new best friends! this set here would be the best set to go for if your new to them as u get everything you need, and nothing else. the pets themselves are in a sachet of powder which you put into the tank of water (after purifying with the provided purifier). it's a weird thought, but it works! also with this kit, you have an instruction book full of info that will get you started and also has interesting facts and "games" to do. i highly recommend trying these guys out. these pets only need feeding once a week!! an interesting pet they will be for you all...
