Amazon.co.uk Delightfully interactive, My Own Baby is perfectly designed to add extra fun to children's role-play as mum and dad. Put baby down, and she will cry until you pick her up again, unless she's well fed and happy; place her snugly in a bed, and she'll close her eyes and go to sleep--until feeding time! Feed her and listen to her happily glugging the milk down, or saying "mmm" when you feed her from the bowl and spoon. And to add an extra-special bond between parent and baby, wear the special bracelet and baby will say "mama" to the wearer, when they pass near. Woe betide if you feed My Own Baby and put her down to sleep without burping her--she'll cry until you pick her up and burp her (this will cause great hilarity!) But parents, don't worry--she does "go to sleep" if left alone for around 20 minutes, so she won't get you up in the middle of the night. Baby also interacts with other Berchet toys, such as the snugly modern My Own Baby 3-Wheel Pushchair, the My Own Baby Combination Highchair and Rocking Chair, and My Own Baby Combination Rocker and Table Seat. Each of these comes with a small tag that recognises the chip on the doll. Placing baby in any of these toys produces special behaviour, words and sounds. This soft-bodied doll is supplied with clothes, tag, interactive bracelet for baby and mummy, interactive feeding bowl and spoon, and a bottle. The doll can be used on its own, without the bracelets, by small children who'll like the soft body and noises; but for older children, the interactivity makes it truly delightful. This is a lovely doll, and the lifelike behaviour will raise a smile with parents and kids alike, and get kids truly absorbed in caring for this new addition to the family. --Alison Jardine

This baby doll is soft and is so realistic, her sounds are real and she is very nice to cuddle. She feels and sounds like a new baby and is a pleasure to play with. I would strongly recommend buying this doll for any young child. She cries unexpectedly and is only quite after having a cuddle, it could even be used in place of one of those computer dolls for teenagers!
