Lego kick off their 2009 releases with a series of kits from The Clone Wars which includes the excellent Assassin Droids Battle Pack.
These kits are great for collector's who want to build an army quickly and cheaply. The set comprises a Droid Speeder and 5 figures.
The Droid Speeder is 3.5 cm high, 8.5 cm wide (at aft wing tips) 20.5 cm long (from front vectrals tip to aft wing tip) and features a flick missile mounted on each side. There is room to seat two droids and there is a mount in front of each seat for the Droid's rifle.
The best thing in this pack is the figures. You get five IG series Assassin Droids.
Three of the droids are the standard silver Assassin Droids, the same as IG-88 from 2006's #6209 Boba Fett's Slave 1.
For the first time there are also 2 black Elite Assassin Droids as well.
There are 4 black blaster rifles and 1 black heavy assault rifle to distribute among them so they can go and take on the Republic.
The kit comprises 45 pieces (not including figures, weapons and missiles), takes about 2 minutes to build and it's ready for battle.
A great addition to any Separatist Army.
