Have to agree with the previous reviewer. Am particularly sceptical about the quality of branded 'of the moment' ranges such as Groovy Chicks. However, was pleasantly surprised by quality and robustness of the skates and our 8 yr old girl liked them even more for being purple and pink. Good value if you're looking for a pair of skates that are not going to break the bank.

Like most parents, I have grown used to the quality of toys not being "like they were in our day". However the Groovy Chick brand skates really are very robust, well constructed and suprisingly lightweight. My 8 yr old learnt to skate to an impressive level within 10 minutes of donning the GC skates.
They produce a nice range of protective pads to compliment the skates and since I've had no complaints off my daughter, that makes this product a winner in my book.
