A surprising success... Posted 08 April 2008 ...looked unpromising when unwrapped by my son on his third birthday. He's almost seven now and has loved this toy. His little sister, now five, is still playing with it, practising her handwriting and drawing Flanimals. It's tough, easy to use and I would definitely recommend it.
Great fun!! Posted 26 March 2008 I bought this for my 3 yr old son for Christmas. It's so much easier than having bits of paper and crayons all over the house. He gets absorbed in it for ages (and his Dad loves joining in too). Would have to agree that it is a bit of a pain to go hunting for the stampers though!
Still probably the best £15 I spent at xmas this year.
tip for xmas! Posted 04 September 2006 I've purchased the colour doodle for my little boy for christmas. If you plan on doing the same it would be advisable to open the box and complete the 'first use' instructions before you let little one get their hands on it on christmas morning. Basically you have to completely fill the screen with colour and then clear the screen 3 times. You have to do this approx 10 times before you hand it over to the kids so it would be advisable to do it before you wrap it, that way they can play with it straight away on xmas morning!
PS: it really is as good as the other reviewers say, i bought it based on their comments. Many thanks.
color doodle Posted 08 November 2005 very nice piece, just the right size and handy to play at home or out in car or place under buggy and use to keep them entertained whilst shopping!!!
Kids love it!!! Posted 01 April 2005 My daughter got this for her 3rd birthday and she (and her 5 year old sister) absolutly love it. The colours make it more fun to play with than the standard magna doodles and they never seem to get bored (and there's no mess!!). I would agree with the other review about the stampers though. They do fall off quite easily. Previously I have not been very impressed with magna doodles, but they seem to have made a few improvements (unless they did this before and I didn't realise!). The main drawing board can be taken out/removed and you can wipe it down to get rid of any black static marks, which are very often the reason for binning this kind of product.
